The dust-free bedding innovation - made from 100% natural, untreated spruce wood.
- Immediate moisture and odour absorption: the moisture first seeps downwards and is then absorbed directly from below over an area of approx. one ½ to ¾ m². The urine does not penetrate upwards and therefore does not come into contact with oxygen, so there is no ammonia formation.
- Absolutely dust-free: the manufacturing process ensures an absolutely dust-free product - no dust gets into the boxes.
- Particularly economical consumption: the special pourability makes it particularly easy to separate from excrement, resulting in significantly less manure.
- Prevents health risks: freed from germs and bacteria by thermal treatment and completely free from additives - a purely natural product.
Untreated spruce (softwood)
The best success with AMECO bedding is achieved when the base bedding is at least 15 cm, but ideally 20 cm. For a box of 12 m² you need 8 - 9 bales. That's quite a lot, that's true. It takes a certain amount of effort when you see how the pallet of 24 bales is suddenly reduced. But this way you need the least amount of bedding and get the best result.
Now the process:
- First 20 cm of bedding = 8 to 9 bales for 12 m², spread evenly in the box.
- Then for the next 12 to 14 days, only remove the horse droppings from the box.
- Never look for the wet spot and do not poke around in it.
- After the 12 to 14 days, have a look where the wet spot is. Push aside any dry bedding that may still be lying on top and remove the wet spot. There may already be a discolouration from reddish to dark red. In this case, the litter has done its job. Where the wet spot has been removed, apply the older bedding present in the box and then sprinkle the amount removed so that the level remains at 15 to 20 cm.
- The important thing is to always make sure that the top remains dry. It also depends on the horse. Everyone has to find out for themselves when to remove the wet. Under no circumstances too early, because then you would be throwing away bedding that could still be absorbent and thus wasting it unnecessarily.

Unmittelbare Feuchtigkeits- und Geruchsbindung: die Feuchtigkeit sickert erst nach unten durch und saugt sich dann unmittelbar von unten heraus auf einer Fläche von ca. einem ½ bis ¾ m² an.
