Sainfoin cobs contain a high proportion of condensed tannins, which are known for their anti-inflammatory and anthelmintic properties. They also counteract flatulence and strengthen the protective function of the mucous membranes against pathogenic germs. This makes sainfoin ideal for preventing and combating parasite infestations. In addition to the tannins, sainfoin also provides a variety of valuable nutrients. It is rich in minerals, cellulose containing crude fibre, structurally rich dietary fibre and high-quality protein. This combination helps to stabilise the natural intestinal flora and promotes healthy digestion. Thanks to its composition, sainfoin can be considered a starch-free, low-sugar concentrate with the properties of roughage. It is not only highly digestible, but also supports better utilisation of the entire feed ration. Agrobs Teffcobs 20kg

A balanced diet for sensitive horsesHorses with sensitive metabolisms, sensitive stomachs or allergies require special care – including when it comes to their feed. Teff grass offers ideal properties for this purpose: it is exceptionally low in sugar and fructan, whilst providing highly digestible crude fibre and, as a natural source of protein, supporting muscle development. The tasty cobs thus become a reliable choice for the gentle and balanced nutrition of sensitive horses. A protein source rich in crude fibre: consistently low in sugar and fructan Teff grass (Latin: Eragrostis tef) is an ancient cultivated plant native to East Africa. Whilst native grasses tend to store increasing amounts of sugar and fructan in hot or dry conditions, teff grass instead produces valuable leaf mass. As a result, it remains consistently low in sugar and fructan whilst remaining rich in vital nutrients. This natural stability makes AGROBS® TEFFCOBS a reliable and future-proof feed – even in the face of increasingly dry summers. Teff grass from specialised Bavarian cultivation AGROBS® has been successfully growing teff grass on Bavarian fields since 2024. This demanding cultivation process requires experience, a delicate touch and suitable site conditions. As a result, a valuable forage crop that has hitherto been scarcely used in Europe is now available regionally for the first time. Versatile use thanks to high digestibility Whether for leisure horses or senior horses – Teffcobs are highly versatile: the soft, tender stalks of this so-called ‘love grass’ provide healthy crude fibre, are easily digestible and are naturally almost starch-free – making them particularly gentle on the stomach. As a single-ingredient feed, it is suitable for exclusion diets, allergies and intolerances. Thanks to its favourable calcium-to-phosphorus ratio, it is also a well-tolerated roughage or concentrated feed for horses that are sensitive to high levels of calcium. At the same time, the tasty cobs are easy to soak and are therefore also a good choice for older horses with reduced chewing ability. Responsible feeding – today and tomorrowAGROBS® TEFFCOBS are a valuable alternative for horses that require a low-sugar, low-fructan diet. As a low-sugar grass variety grown in Bavaria, they combine innovation, regional sourcing and digestibility – for a natural and needs-based nutrient supply for sensitive horses – today and in the future.APPLICATION:to supplement and enhance roughageas part of the roughage ration to balance out hay that is particularly high in sugar and fructanas a complete roughage substitute (following individual feeding advice)as a concentrate or cereal substitutefor horses with sensitive metabolism and digestionfor senior horses and those with dental problemsfor exclusion diets, allergies and intolerances (e.g. alfalfa)

Agrobs Pre Alpin® Wiesencobs® 5kg

The basis of healthy digestive physiology is an adequate supply of high-quality roughage. Unfortunately, there is a tendency nowadays to feed significantly reduced amounts of roughage or to use inferior-quality roughage. However, a healthy, physiologically beneficial supply of roughage remains essential. If a horse is not fed sufficient quantities of high-quality hay or silage, the risk of various disorders increases. To maintain a healthy gut flora, microorganisms require a minimum crude fibre content, which can only be provided by roughage.PRE ALPIN® WIESENCOBS® are an ideal roughage product in an extra-large cob form. They consist of a unique blend of over 60 different grasses and herbs from the Bavarian Alpine foothills. The meadows, which are constantly monitored, are harvested at the optimum stage of maturity.
