Product information "St. Hippolyt Glyx-Wiese Heucobs 20kg"
St. Hippolyt Glyx-Wiese hay cobs are rich in herbs and consist of low-fructan grasses. Hay cobs are suitable as a substitute for hay or as a supplement to the roughage ration. Roughage is the cornerstone of a complete horse diet. High-quality and flavoursome roughage is not only a real treat for our horses, but also the basis for their health and well-being. Good roughage supports the immune system, optimises the metabolism and has intestinal care properties. Furthermore, roughage has a deacidifying and alkalising effect and therefore also contributes to the regeneration of the muscles and joints. Hay cobs are also suitable as a source of energy via fibre digestion in the large intestine. Glyx hay cobs come from species-rich grasses and herbs from the Lake Constance region and are a natural product. The fibre structure of the grasses and the nutrients are largely retained thanks to the extremely gentle harvesting and processing methods. Glyx hay cobs bring the diversity of species-rich meadows to your horse's feeding trough.

As an alternative to forage: 1.2-1.5 kg per 100 kg body weight and day
To enhance the basic feed: adjust the quantity to the basic feed supply 1 kg of hay cobs replaces 1 kg of hay. Feed larger quantities slowly. Soak 1 kg of hay cobs in 1.5-3 litres of water.
Maximum 2 kg (dry weight) per meal - always soak.
1 litre corresponds to approx. 630 g
Horses with dental or chewing problems should be fed approx. 1.2-1.5 kg of hay cobs per 100 kg body weight per day to cover their roughage requirements and counteract weight loss. Hay cobs are suitable as an alternative to roughage or as a supplement to hay or haylage and as a substitute for manger feed for horses that should be fed little or no grain. In large horses, positive effects on digestion and nutritional status can be observed from as little as 2 kg per day.
