Höveler Western PUXX is a tasty supplement for horses of all ages and performance levels. Western PUXX can be used in addition to the usual ration or as a sole manger feed and is particularly suitable for competitions or trail rides. However, these long-fibre Western PUXX can also be used as a daily meal to support a longer eating and chewing period and therefore optimum digestion.
The high-quality structured feed made from alfalfa and timothy improves the salivation of the feed and can compensate for this in times of hay shortage. The alfalfa contained in Höveler Western PUXX is a mixture of structure and numerous vital substances, such as amino acids, which support targeted muscle development.
Höveler Western PUXX is therefore a combination of basic feed and muscle building concentrate rounded off with highly digested cereals for optimum energy supply. The feeding of additional concentrates is possible in combination with Höveler Western PUXX, but is no longer absolutely necessary. Höveler PUXX can be given to horses with an intact masticatory apparatus and normal eating behaviour without soaking.

A mineral feed is recommended when feeding Western PuXX as the sole cot feed to ensure optimum nutrition.
With concentrates:
Depending on the ration: 150 to 300 g
To enhance the basic feed*:
Depending on the forage: 150 to 500 g
*At least 1 to 1.5 kg hay per 100 kg live weight/day should be fed (pasture is not included here).
Western Puxx should be fed slowly to gently acclimatise the horse to the new structure.
Can be fed dry or soaked if required.
We recommend soaking the product in case of dental problems, hasty eaters or low water intake.

Mit seiner Erfindung des "Reformhafers" durchbrach Arnold Höveler den konservativen Heu-Hafer-Fütterungstrend mit dem ersten patentierten Pferdefutter in Müsliform, sozusagen das Ur-Müsli. Die Philosophie des Gründers, sein Pferdefutterprogramm stets nach neuesten wissenschaftlichen Erkenntnissen über die Nahrungsbedürfnisse des Pferdes zusammenzustellen, wurde in den vergangenen über 100 Jahren konsequent beibehalten und von den Fütterungsexperten der Gegenwart fortgeschrieben.
