Foals have a particularly high need for energy and protein. In the growth phase, the need for nutrients such as calcium, phosphorus, zinc and copper is also increased.
In Höveler Original Foal Muesli, special attention has been paid to these increased requirements of foals in the growth phase. The energy in Original Foal Muesli comes from hydrothermally digested cereals and is therefore easily digestible. This prevents digestive tract sensitivities.
Extracted soya meal and steam-heated soya beans are rich in essential amino acids such as lysine and methionine, which are required for organ and muscle development, among other things. The particularly tasty Original FohlenMüsli is fully mineralised and vitaminised, offers high nutrient availability and can therefore be used as the sole cot feed. Feeding difficulties, which often occur at weaning, are prevented by feeding Original Foal Muesli at an early stage.

As a supplementary feed to the usual basic supply of mare's milk, roughage and/or pasture grass, we recommend Original Foal Muesli for free intake for foals with a final weight of approx. 600 kg from the 2nd week of life until the 2nd month. (no access for the mother mare)

Feeding depends on the amount of milk the mare produces and the foal's stage of development. Original FoalMuesli is fed until the foal is 1 year old. After that, we recommend Höveler EF PferdeMüsli, Höveler Wholemeal D-Mix, Höveler Western Sport or Höveler Reformat with oats.

Es ist 1905 die Registriernummer des Kaiserlichen Patentamtes in Berlin für die Erfindung von Arnold Höveler. Mit seiner Erfindung des "Reformhafers" durchbrach Arnold Höveler den konservativen Heu-Hafer-Fütterungstrend mit dem ersten patentierten Pferdefutter in Müsliform, sozusagen das Ur-Müsli. Die Philosophie des Gründers, sein Pferdefutterprogramm stets nach neuesten wissenschaftlichen Erkenntnissen über die Nahrungsbedürfnisse des Pferdes zusammenzustellen, wurde in den vergangenen über 100 Jahren konsequent beibehalten und von den Fütterungsexperten der Gegenwart fortgeschrieben.
