Product information "Marstall Alpaka & Co"
marstall Alpaca & Co. is the ideal supplementary feed for llamas and alpacas. It combines hydrothermally digested cereal flakes with crude fibre carriers and omega-3 vegetable oil.
marstall Alpaka & Co. not only provides valuable energy, but also important minerals, trace elements and vitamins.
marstall Alpaca & Co. perfectly supplements the daily roughage ration of llamas and alpacas. It contains many vitamins, such as vitamin D and E, which is particularly important in the winter months. Trace elements such as copper and zinc support wool formation, while zinc is also important for healthy skin. As part of the intracellular antioxidant system, selenium is an essential component for the muscles and complements the properties of vitamin E.
Our marstall Alpaca & Co. also provides alpacas and llamas with valuable crude fibre and energy-rich cereal flakes, so that the camelids are optimally supplied even in performance situations.
Llamas and alpacas are naturally adapted to extensive husbandry and feeding. The vegetation in their native habitat between 3000 and 5000 metres above sea level consists mainly of short, hard grasses. Such stalks are rich in crude fibre, strong and contain many minerals and trace elements.
Basic feed
As pure herbivores, alpacas and llamas should be given late-cut hay rich in crude fibre, which can be mixed with a little straw if necessary. Regular grazing and a salt lick should also be included. As the basic feed in our latitudes often does not provide alpacas and llamas with sufficient nutrients, it is advisable to feed a mineralised muesli or an appropriate mineral feed.
Supplementary feed
As alpacas and llamas have special requirements, supplementary feed specially developed for these species should always be used. Especially in times of high demands, such as pregnant or lactating mares, young animals in growth or stallions, the need increases. The same applies to the time of wool production or when building up body mass. Even when llamas and alpacas perform particularly well, for example when trekking or at auctions, care should be taken to ensure that they have an adequate supply of energy and minerals
