St. Hippolyt Brandon XS is a low-glycaemic and molasses-free concentrated feed in pellet form for horses with normal performance requirements. Easily digestible carbohydrates are not absorbed in the small intestine as is normally the case due to a special processing procedure (lactofermentation), but are mainly absorbed in the large intestine where they are fermented. Brandon XS therefore has a relatively low glycaemic index as a standard version compared to conventional concentrated feeds containing cereals. Brandon XS is suitable as:
- Complete feed for old horses and horses that should temporarily do without hay and straw due to illness
- Concentrated feed for horses with normal performance requirements
- Concentrated feed combined with conventional, concentrated feed (concentrated feed) for horses with high performance requirements
- Follow-up feed according to Brandon® xl for horses with health problems. A changeover is only recommended in the case of certain illnesses and in consultation with the vet
