St. Hippolyt Biotin Hoof Mixture improves the body's own biotin synthesis and promotes hoof growth. Rich in organically bound zinc, brewer's yeast and sulphur-containing amino acids.
Biotin plays a central role in healthy hoof growth. The consequences of a biotin deficiency can be cracked, brittle or soft hooves as well as a lack of hoof growth. Biotin is a water-soluble vitamin from the group of B vitamins.
B vitamins are normally produced in sufficient quantities in the horse's healthy large intestine. However, too little crude fibre, poor basic feed quality or an unbalanced diet lead to disturbances in the intestinal flora and thus also to reduced biotin synthesis. Possible signs of a biotin deficiency include delayed hoof growth, poor horn quality, skin disorders, muscle tension, nervousness and loss of performance. St. Hippolyt Biotin Hoof Mixture is a feed concentrate to support healthy hoof horn formation. It contains biotin in an effective daily dosage combined with vital substances for hoof stability such as organically bound zinc, brewer's yeast, sulphur-containing amino acids and fermented cereals.
