St. Hippolyt C'Real black oat flakes are peeled, flaked and refined into tasty flakes. Ideal for sport and breeding horses. With fermented carrot! C'Real Basics products are based on highly processed barley, maize and black oat flakes. They contain naturally pure and ecologically grown grain that is washed, germinated and thermally treated to improve the utilisation of starch. Grain refinement with fermented carrots: After washing, the grain is germinated in a carrot fermentate. This modulates the grain starch (similar to the sourdough principle). This causes the starch, which is released into glucose in the small intestine, to be released more slowly. This results in a moderate rise in blood sugar with a lower insulin response, so that the product has a low glycaemic index (Glyx). The modulated starch promotes the formation of short-chain fatty acids in the large intestine, which in turn provide insulin-dependent energy. The carrot fermentate enhances the texture of the cereal flakes and improves the palatability of C'Real Basics products. The result is a tasty cereal flake with a glyx factor.
