The animal feed industry offers horse owners a wide range of mash products to supplement their horses’ existing feed. These are all similar in design – containing bran and not suitable for daily feeding. AGROBS now offers a completely new type of mash, which is unique in its composition.
AlpenGrün Mash is based on Prenatura fibres, which consist mainly of the leaves and seeds of warm-air-dried grasses and herbs. These are characterised by a high content of natural vital nutrients such as trace elements, vitamins and phytochemicals. In addition, the Prenatura fibres provide the horse with important, highly digestible crude fibre, which – thanks primarily to its prebiotic properties – actively promotes gut health and the growth of beneficial gut bacteria. This reduces the number of putrefactive bacteria and gas-producing bacteria in the large intestine.
Linseed granules and psyllium husks provide a high content of mucilage, which coats the stomach and intestinal mucosa with a protective film. They thus help to maintain a healthy, intact mucous membrane, as well as aiding the regeneration of an irritated mucous membrane following illness, medication, worming treatment or stress. The unsaturated fatty acids they also contain have a positive effect on the condition of the skin and coat.
Gently dried beetroot, carrot, apple and parsnip make ALPENGRÜN MASH particularly palatable. As a result, even fussy horses will eat it readily, even without the addition of molasses. Furthermore, ALPENGRÜN MASH thus contains natural vital substances such as phytochemicals, vitamins and minerals, as well as plenty of highly digestible pectins, which in turn promote healthy gut flora. Dried rosehip husks are known for their high vitamin C content – valuable for strengthening the immune system. The digestive-aiding properties of fennel and caraway round off ALPENGRÜN MASH.
By deliberately omitting cereals, bran and molasses, ALPENGRÜN MASH is also suitable for horses with sensitive metabolisms and is ideal both for daily feeding and as a course of treatment (e.g. following colic or during the change of coat).

- 80–100 g per 100 kg of target body weight
- Pour warm, but not boiling, water over AlpenGrün Mash, stir well, leave to soak for approx. 5–10 minutes and feed whilst lukewarm
- If required, AlpenGrün Mash can also be mixed with cold water and fed. The soaking time is then extended to 15 to 20 minutes.
- Mixing ratio of AlpenGrün Mash to water = 1:3 to 1:7 (e.g. 0.5 kg AlpenGrün Mash : 1.5 l water).
