Green oats (hot-air dried, pelletised)
Product information "Agrobs Grünhafercobs 20kg"
AGROBS® GREEN OAT COBS, grown in Bavaria, embody the gentle power of the oat plant: low in starch, rich in crude fibre and particularly palatable, they offer a easily digestible alternative to concentrated feed. The moderate energy, protein and sugar content of the green oat plant provides a balanced source of nutrition even for horses with a sensitive metabolism or stomach.
Traditionally, oats (Avena sativa) are regarded as a concentrated feed – but not all horses tolerate starch-rich cereals. Sensitive horses in particular need an alternative that provides energy without causing strain.
This is exactly what AGROBS® GREEN OAT COBS, grown in Bavaria, do. The whole plant is harvested after flowering but before the grains are fully formed. At this early stage, it is naturally rich in valuable crude fibre and has a reduced starch content. This enables a steady release of energy without causing blood sugar spikes, affecting the horse’s temperament or putting strain on the stomach. Thanks to gentle hot-air drying, important nutrients are preserved and the cobs remain free from mould and dust. The result is a pure, natural product that meets our standards for quality and digestibility.
With their naturally moderate energy, protein and sugar content, green oat cobs are ideal as a concentrate substitute or roughage supplement. Their natural palatability contributes to high acceptance. As a single-ingredient feed, they can be used in exclusion diets, and for horses with allergies or intolerances. Easy to soak, the cobs are also a good choice for older horses and ensure a steady supply of nutrients even when chewing ability is limited.
Whether for leisure horses, sport horses or senior horses – AGROBS® GREEN OAT COBS provide them with the gentle power of the oat plant. Versatile in use, they support the wellbeing of sensitive horses and enrich every ration with natural flavour in the feed trough.
