Original Höveler Active is specially formulated to meet the energy requirements of horses that have to perform at a high level. In the formulation, particular emphasis was placed on highly digested ingredients, as these are highly digestible in the small intestine. The high degree of digestion of these ingredients ensures a rapid energy supply and thus a noticeably higher willingness to perform on the part of the horse.
Special attention was also paid to the selection of vegetable oils as energy sources. High-quality linseed oil specifically supplements the recipe with important fatty acids and serves as a further source of energy. A special combination of vitamins, minerals and organically bound trace elements round off the recipe. The levels of essential amino acids such as lysine and the high content of antioxidant additives such as vitamin E and selenium also support muscle metabolism.

Es ist 1905 die Registriernummer des Kaiserlichen Patentamtes in Berlin für die Erfindung von Arnold Höveler. Mit seiner Erfindung des "Reformhafers" durchbrach Arnold Höveler den konservativen Heu-Hafer-Fütterungstrend mit dem ersten patentierten Pferdefutter in Müsliform, sozusagen das Ur-Müsli. Die Philosophie des Gründers, sein Pferdefutterprogramm stets nach neuesten wissenschaftlichen Erkenntnissen über die Nahrungsbedürfnisse des Pferdes zusammenzustellen, wurde in den vergangenen über 100 Jahren konsequent beibehalten und von den Fütterungsexperten der Gegenwart fortgeschrieben.
