Josera Help Omega SkinCare is an innovative specialised feed for horses with sensitive skin or skin stress, which are often linked to a sensitive digestive system or feed intolerances. The formula therefore deliberately excludes cereals, lucerne, soya and molasses. Thanks to its particularly low starch and sugar content, this feed is ideal for horses prone to skin reactions or metabolic problems.
Josera Help Omega SkinCare has been developed in line with the latest nutritional research. It contains DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) – a highly bioavailable omega-3 fatty acid derived from sustainably cultivated microalgae (Schizochytrium). This long-chain fatty acid is an important building block for skin structures and can therefore help maintain a resilient skin barrier. A balanced supply of omega-3 fatty acids can also promote the horse’s general well-being – particularly when the skin is under increased stress.
The plant-based complex Josera EquiFlavin® contains extracts of apple and grape. These phytochemicals (flavonoids) can help protect cells and support the skin’s natural balance, particularly during periods of increased stress caused by the change of coat, weather conditions or external irritants such as insects or sweat. Black cumin and marigold complement the formula with plant-based ingredients that are traditionally used to support the skin from within, thereby helping to promote a well-cared-for and healthy complexion.
Minerals, trace elements and vitamins have been deliberately omitted to allow for a supplement tailored to the individual animal. When used in combination with Josera Help Skin & Hair Balancer, this product can provide targeted support, particularly for horses with sensitive skin, skin stress and during the moulting season.

When used as the sole feed in the feed trough for hay feeding: Depending on the level of activity, approx. 150–400 g per 100 kg body weight per day to meet energy and protein requirements.

For older horses, hasty eaters, horses with dental or chewing problems, or other horses that are potentially prone to oesophageal blockages, we recommend soaking the feed in sufficient water.
