Marstall Faser light is ideal for all light-fed horses and those that need to be fed a reduced sugar and starch diet. Molasses-free! The high content of Allgäu hay chaff and lucerne stimulates chewing activity, extends the feeding time, increases saliva production and thus favours a natural buffering of stomach acid. The Marstall Previta fibre has a prebiotic effect. Due to the variety of fibres, their digestion by microbes in the large intestine produces nutrients that are gentle on the metabolism and effective on the intestines, so-called "volatile fatty acids" (= short-chain fatty acids), which nourish the intestinal cells, provide the horse with energy, but do not overload the blood sugar and insulin system. Marstall Faser light is enriched with all the important minerals, vitamins and trace elements and is perfect for a calorie-reduced diet. Especially light-fed horses, horses with metabolic disorders (insulin resistance, EMS, laminitis), horses that are not working or overweight benefit from this tasty but molasses-free textured muesli. Furthermore, these horses should generally be fed a low-sugar, low-starch or grain-free diet.
