Marstall Senior-Aktiv is a grain-free, easily digestible muesli that is specially tailored to the needs of old horses. It promotes the maintenance and rebuilding of body substance. At the same time, it supports sluggish digestion and the immune system. Senior-Aktiv covers the sometimes increased need for vitamins and minerals in senior horses and stimulates chewing activity. This benefits both the stomach and the psyche. The deliberately low-starch and low-sugar recipe is also ideal for horses with sensitive metabolisms.
Marstall Senior-Aktiv is a cereal-free, build-up muesli that specifically supports the maintenance of the muscles.
One of the important goals for old horses is to maintain their muscles and body substance - especially during the change of coat and in the cold season. This is why Senior-Aktiv provides both energy and essential, easily digestible amino acids that the horse's body can utilise 100 %.
For senior horses, it is also important to support the intestinal flora and intestinal activity, as this is the only way for valuable ingredients from the feed to enter the body. To this end, marstall Senior-Aktiv contains mannan oligosaccharides and ß-glucans (MOS for short) in addition to the traditionally used linseed. According to studies, these components of brewer's yeast cell walls form an intact biofilm on the intestinal mucosa, which acts as a barrier against harmful substances. At the same time, MOS bind mycotoxins and pathogenic germs in the intestine so that they can be excreted. In addition, MOS are food for the good intestinal bacteria (prebiotic effect). Together, these properties relieve the immune system.
Trace elements are added to Senior-Aktiv in organic, i.e. optimally utilisable form. Naturally, the increased requirement of old horses for zinc and selenium as well as vitamins A and E has been taken into account. The grain-free Senior-Aktiv contains plenty of structure and is free from molasses and lucerne. It is also ideal for horses with metabolic problems.

For hasty eaters, horses with food envy, dental problems etc., we recommend feeding Senior-Aktiv soaked. For example, pour 1 litre of Senior-Aktiv over 1 litre of warm or cold water and leave to infuse for 15 minutes.
