Fibre is the most important nutrient for horses. Horses cannot remain healthy without an adequate supply of crude fibre. It is therefore particularly important to provide horses with fibre even when they can no longer consume conventional sources of roughage such as hay or haylage. Pavo 18Plus Fibre enables horses that are (temporarily) unable to eat roughage to still consume sufficient fibre and remain in good condition.
Horses with impaired dental function are often unable to chew long fibres (> 3 cm), such as those found in hay or haylage, sufficiently. Shorter fibres of less than three centimetres are much easier to chew and absorb. For this reason, the fibres in Pavo 18Plus Fibre only contain short structures (< 3 cm).
In addition, the fibre stalks are particularly soft so that they can reduce the risk of injuries in the digestive tract despite limited chewing performance. In contrast to many other roughage replacement products, Pavo 18Plus Fibre also contains no alfalfa.
Pavo 18Plus Fibre contains no grain, molasses or other added sugars. The sugar and starch content is very low. Pavo 18Plus Fibre is therefore particularly suitable for horses that require a grain-free or low-sugar diet.

Pavo 18Plus Fibre is suitable for:
- (Senior) horses with declining dental function
- Horses with dental problems, such as diastema or EORTH
- Horses after intensive dental treatment
- Horses that need to carefully start eating again or regain their appetite (e.g. after an operation)
