The electrolytes it contains serve to compensate for sweat losses. POWER TONIC is therefore an electrolyte powder that compensates for losses of minerals and trace elements after high performance requirements, sweating or illness.
The quantities of minerals and trace elements excreted in sweat are considerable, especially at high ambient temperatures: a horse can excrete up to 15 kg of sweat in just a few hours! In addition to the loss of water, up to 15 g sodium, 75 g chloride, 25 g potassium, 3 g calcium, 2 g phosphorus or 2 g magnesium are lost. POWER TONIC replaces these minerals, which are essential for regeneration and maintaining the horse's performance.
POWER TONIC is a balanced, isotonic mineral and vitamin mixture that replenishes the body with substances lost through sweat. You often find isotonic OR vitamin supplements, Power Tonic contains both. Furthermore, Power Tonic is a water-soluble powder, so it can be given with the concentrated feed or dissolved in water to make up for the loss as quickly as possible.
