Product information "St. Hippolyt Glucogard 3kg"
St. Hippolyt Glucogard is a nutrient supplement for metabolic imbalances, supports insulin metabolism and contains natural antioxidants.
Many horse owners face the challenge of correctly assessing their horse's energy requirements. An excessive supply of energy, caused by too much concentrated feed or fresh grass, can have serious consequences, especially for horses that are evolutionarily adapted to meagre living conditions. Constant overfeeding combined with too little exercise puts a great strain on the carbohydrate metabolism.
A diet low in grain and carbohydrates is advisable for overweight horses and horses with metabolic disorders. The need for specific minerals and functional nutrients cannot be met by feeding only hay and straw. Glucogard not only provides a balanced spectrum of micronutrients, but also antioxidants and plant-based protective nutrients that counteract deficiencies.
Natural nutrients from brewer's yeast such as B-complex vitamins and trivalent chromium as well as minerals such as magnesium, zinc and manganese are necessary for an optimally functioning sugar and insulin metabolism. Vital substances such as vitamin E and selenium protect against oxidative stress. This is particularly important for the hoof complex, which is at great risk in overweight horses. The plant-based protective nutrients contained in Glucogard support the health of the hoof complex in a natural way.
