Product information "St. Hippolyt Glyx-Wiese Seniorfaser 15kg"
St. Hippolyt Glyx-Wiese Seniorfaser is suitable as a supplement to the roughage ration, as a hay substitute for (old) horses with dental problems or as a fibre supplement. Glyx-Wiese Seniorfaser provides horses that can no longer eat longer fibres with roughage as required. The chopped structure facilitates the intake of roughage with the same saliva production, so that the total amount can be increased. This is particularly advisable when horses are no longer able to consume sufficient hay due to jaw or dental problems. Glyx-Wiese Seniorfaser has been produced gently, making the product dust-free. Glyx-Wiese Seniorfaser can be fed both dry and soaked.
- For upgrading the hay ration when hay quality is poor
- Hay substitute for horses with dental problems
- Mixed into the manger feed as a fibre supplement for longer feeding times
Large variety of grasses and herbs from regional meadows, cold-pressed oil mixture (linseed oil, sunflower oil)

As an alternative to the basic feed: 1.2-1.5 kg per 100 kg body weight and day
To enhance the basic feed: adjust the quantity to the basic feed supply
1 kg senior fibre replaces 1 kg hay. Feed slowly.
Horses with dental or chewing problems should be fed 1.2-1.5 kg of senior fibre per 100 kg body weight per day to cover their roughage requirements and counteract weight loss. Senior fibre is suitable as a roughage alternative or as a supplement to hay or haylage, as well as a substitute for manger feed for horses that should receive little or no grain. For large horses, positive effects on digestion and nutritional status can be observed from as little as 2 kg per day.
