Enhanced with natural turmeric
The main ingredient in Kieselgold is diatomaceous earth, a primeval marine natural product formed over millions of years. It is used as a natural source of silicon. Silicon is an essential building block of connective tissue, tendons, bones and hoof horn.
Diatomaceous earth consists mainly of silicic acid. Silica contains a high proportion of silicon, a trace element that is found in the body mainly in the connective tissue cells of skin, hair and cartilage. Silicon cannot be produced by the body itself, so the organism is dependent on a supply via the feed. The large surface area of diatomaceous earth also binds and excretes harmful substances from the intestine. Kieselgold also contains isomaltulose, turmeric and high-quality vegetable oils.
As a prebiotic, isomaltulose supports the maintenance of a healthy intestinal microbiome and improves flavour and texture. Turmeric stimulates the appetite, naturally promotes shelf life and improves the absorption and therefore the bioavailability of micronutrients. The oil mixture ensures a silky coat shine.
