Light feed - grain-free & low carb
Equigard® is used to feed light-fed, overweight horses that need to be fed a low-starch, low-sugar diet or have an increased risk of metabolic problems due to their constitution. To stabilise insulin function, carbohydrate and fat metabolism, vital substances such as magnesium, zinc, copper, manganese, selenium, omega-3 fatty acids, lecithin and antioxidants such as vitamin E and flavonoids from fruit are of particular importance

As a supplement to the basic feed supply of roughage and/or pasture grass. From a quantity of approx. 200-350 g per 100 kg body weight and day, no additional mineral feed is necessary. The total amount should be distributed over several rations. We recommend adding Glucogard® or MicroVital® for lower doses or supply deficits. If there is an increased energy requirement (for performance horses), combine with Struktur-E® grain-free and vegetable oils.

This supplementary feed may only be fed to horses up to 23.4 % of the daily ration (including hay) due to the higher content of vitamins and trace elements compared to complete feed.
Please adhere to the feeding recommendations.
For older horses, hasty eaters or horses with dental, chewing or gullet problems, we recommend enriching muesli with water or switching from muesli to pelleted feed, soaking it in sufficient water and feeding it as mash.
Please pay attention to your horse's fluid intake.
