High-quality, chopped alfalfa
GlyxWiese® Alfalfa Mix is a product made from alfalfa and oils, processed to the highest hygiene standards, which, thanks to its consistent quality, is versatile and practical to use.
High-quality roughage of impeccable hygienic standard is not only the basis of a horse’s diet, but also the perfect supplement to any feed ration. Whether for sport horses, leisure horses, breeding stock, young horses, senior horses or as ‘stand feed’ – the right roughage supplement is essential.
GlyxWiese® Alfalfa Mix is rich in amino acids, crude fibre and valuable fatty acids, offering a range of beneficial applications. It allows for a reduction in the amount of grain and improves the digestibility of the overall ration. Mixing the chopped alfalfa into the trough feed increases its volume, encourages chewing and thus stimulates and supports digestion. GlyxWiese® Alfalfa Mix can be used as a substitute for trough feed and cereals.

For older horses, fast eaters or horses with dental, masticatory or oesophageal problems, we recommend mixing the muesli with water or switching from muesli to pelleted feed, soaking this in sufficient water and feeding it as a mash. Please monitor your horse’s fluid intake.
