Product information "St.Hippolyt Ricelein Pellet 25kg"
Energy balancer without conventional cereal starch
RiceLein is a low-glycaemic energy balancer designed to enhance low-energy rations. Instead of starch sources, easily fermentable fibres and rice bran provide readily available energy. Thanks to the gastrointestinal-protective properties of linseed, it is particularly suitable for horses with a sensitive gastrointestinal tract. As it is low in starch and sugar, it can also be fed to horses with muscle problems such as PSSM, MIM, tying-up and cross-colic, or horses with PPID (Cushing’s). As RiceLein does not contain any added minerals, it is suitable for use in combination with any basic feed.
- Gluten-free, low in starch and sugar, yet high in energy density
- For gently introducing the feed to fussy eaters and for sport horses with high energy requirements
- Suitable for horses with muscle problems, digestive disorders and sensitive stomachs

For older horses, those that eat too quickly, or horses with dental, masticatory or oesophageal problems, we recommend mixing muesli with water or switching from muesli to pelleted feed, soaking this in sufficient water and feeding it as a porridge. Please monitor your horse’s fluid intake.
