More and more horses are not allowed to eat grain for a variety of reasons. Our top grain-free muesli is low-glycaemic, starch-reduced and rich in crude fibre thanks to the alfalfa chosen as the basis, making it easy to digest. Known as the "queen of forage plants", alfalfa also encourages more chewing due to its structure. In addition to a high protein content, it has an optimal amino acid ratio and can positively support the natural muscle metabolism. These properties make our top grain-free muesli particularly interesting for sport horses with grain intolerances or for horses with metabolic disorders - as an alternative to conventional concentrated feed.
Our top grain-free muesli is rounded off with high-quality herbs and plants such as carob, milk thistle, artichoke, dandelion and hawthorn leaves, which can support the body in the event of metabolic disorders. Natural stomach protection and a strengthening of the immune system can be provided by the plant flavonoids contained, which are known for their antioxidant function. In order to be able to offer horses with metabolic disorders or a disturbed insulin balance a nutrient-rich manger feed, we have deliberately developed our top grain-free muesli without molasses, wheat bran and completely without grain. As a result, this muesli is greatly reduced in sugar and starch. To guarantee an unmistakable flavour, apple pomace and delicious sunflower seeds are added to our top grain-free muesli. The pectins contained in the apple have a cleansing effect in the intestines. The sunflower seeds are an important source of oil and are also readily eaten by fussy horses.
