... was founded in 2005 by graduate chemist Dr Matthias Gerss and hoof trimmer Sonja Appelt due to feeding and hoof problems with their own horses.

Since 2001, numerous hay analyses have been carried out in Austria and it was discovered that standard mineral feeds were often not suitable. This is how the Wild Horse mineral and amino acid supplement was developed in 2 varieties, for calcium-rich and calcium-poor basic feed.

Many supplementary feeds were not suitable for horses at risk of laminitis due to their high sugar content and fillers, so the range was expanded to include special highly concentrated and sugar-free products.

WildHorse Equivita 600g

Wild Horse Equivita is suitable as a supplement to the mineral and amino acid supplement type C/D or to Equitrace. It can have a supportive effect in cases of intestinal flora deficits, stress, poor performance or poor hoof quality, for example. Equivita has already proven itself many times over as it strengthens the hoof from the inside out and in this way has a positive influence on straight and stable hoof growth. This is a prerequisite for resilient, crack-free hooves with compact walls, stable heels, thick soles and a good hoof arch. Wild Horse Equivita is sugar-free and is therefore also suitable for horses suffering from laminitis.

The calcium-rich type D supplement (Ca:P 4:1) is used when feeding pure grass hay from calcium-poor regions and when feeding larger grain rations. If the choice is not clear, a hay analysis in a laboratory is recommended.

The phosphorus-rich type C supplement (Ca:P 0.5:1) is selected for hay from calcium-rich regions and for herb-rich hay from unfertilised, phosphorus-depleted meadows. The centre of Austria is crossed by the Limestone Alps, the foothills of which extend from the Vienna Woods to the north-east of Lower Austria. In Carinthia, the calcium-rich Karawanken meet the very calcium-poor Nockberge. If the choice is not clear, a hay analysis in a laboratory is recommended.

Wild Horse MSM supports the quality of connective tissue as well as skin, horn and coat, especially when fed on a low-protein diet. Methylsulphonylmethane provides organic sulphur for the body's own formation of amino acids. As sulphur competes with other trace elements, especially copper and selenium, it is recommended that it is used as a cure for a limited period of time. Wild Horse Magnesium supports the function of nerves and muscles in stressful situations. The product is sugar-free and therefore also suitable for horses with laminitis.
